Joseph F. McDowell, III


Joe McDowell is a third generation Manchester, NH native who has been practicing law in his home town since 1971.

 

Since 1978, he has dedicated his legal career to the representation of individual plaintiffs in personal injury litigation.

 

Joe graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in 1964, Providence College in 1968, and Suffolk University Law School in 1971, cum laude.

 

At Suffolk, Joe was an editor on the Suffolk University Law Review.

 

Joe is currently a member of the New Hampshire Supreme Court Committee on Character & Fitness.

 

He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

 

He has been a 20 year member of Best Lawyers in America.

 

As reported in the Manchester Union Leader, Joe McDowell was one of the lead lawyers in the $2.5 Billion settlement for the victims of the Dalkon Shield birth control device.
